Hello Watchmen!

It's an honor to be chosen as the new admin for Kevin's Watch. I know some of you have had problems with my view of things, but I assure you, I will be as *fair* as possible in dealing with the issues we have here.
I am *always* willing to listen to suggestions about how to do things!! I am new to the job of being an admin at a phbBB board and I don't mind suggestions about how I can help make the Watch a better place.
The first thing I'd like to do as the new admin is to ask everyone to PLEASE put spoiler tags on anything that might be considered a spoiler. This includes *anything* about the upcoming books, and any plot information SRD has given away, in *any* forum.
Also, please be cautious about what you post in the other forums. DO NOT assume that everyone has read all of both TC series, or all of Mordant's Need, and so on. If you're posting about one of SRD's works outside the forum intended for that topic (like Mordant's Need discussion outside the Mordant's Need forum), please USE SPOILER TAGS for it!!
Thanks,
Stephen

If this isn't an April Fools joke, I'm leaving.

You're not the only one...

I don't really have anything spoiler-worthy to say, but I'm using them anyway just so I can suck up to the new Big Cheeze.

I had a long discussion with IF. He was very open and responsive, and I appreciate how he has taken the matter of 'subjects are spoilers, too' to heart. I think he will be a great admin.
I hope he will tell everyone about his ideas for topic passwords. They are the greatest idea for preventing accidental spoilers we could have.

I totally agree, IF is going to take the Watch to new heights! Just think, he's already relieved us of the burden of Revan and danlo......

See my post in Jay's thread.
Insanity Falls, I have nothing but contempt for your ungrateful, snivelling, childish actions. If you were in my presence, I'd tell you to get out of my sight.

I agree. Remember, we want people to read SRD first hand. What we don't need is people judging the calibre of SRD's writing from information garnered in our posts. What we need to remember is that when we post, we should post in such a way as to entice future SRD fans into reading his books. We all know that once they crack open the first book, they'll be fans for life, so let's not spoil those initial experiences for them.
thanks,
dAN

If I am expected to act as SRD's publicity agent, I expect to be paid. If you don't propose to send me money, I shall say exactly what I think.
For the record, I was enthusiastic about Runes, and still am. But this business of yours, whether it's a joke or not, bespeaks an arrogant and domineering attitude, and I won't condone it.

VF, nobody has asked you to either be SRD's publicity agent. In fact, if you look at what I typed, you'll see that I am actually asking people to QUIT being his publicity agents, and let his books do that job instead.

If it's a joke, I'll overlook the whole sorry mess, in light of the Insanity that seems to seize people every April. If not, I agree with your post wholeheartedly, VF.

In the first place, that's VF to you.
In the second place, if I am not allowed to say anything but positive things about SRD's books, then I am in effect being forced to act as his publicist. My consulting rate for that service is $75.00 an hour — more if I dislike the work.
In the third place, I despise April Fool's jokes: all the more so today, as I was fired from my night job yesterday.

What about Watchwomen?
Hmmph!

Thank you, Alan. Tomorrow we'll all know for sure, won't we? Then you can decide to either remain a valued part of the Watch, or join VF's competing SRD fan site, or make your own SRD fan site!

That was a time error. I was opposing you, Dan, and agreeing with VF. Sorry.

Sorry. I saw that immediately and corrected it, but too slowly apparently.

You will have to talk to SRD about hiring you. I believe you would do good work for him, but I am not in the position of hiring. And I never said you couldn't speak positively about SRD; in fact, I encourage it.

Heh, if that is not an April Fool's joke, then I am sorry to hear it. I despise
April Fool's jokes too, if you want to know the truth. Ask me again tomorrow and I'll say the same thing.

Believe me, when I say I got fired last night, it's not an April Fool's joke. I don't pull that kind of childish stunt.

I believe you; I was just sort of mocking the 40 something times that comment was already used today.

Yeah; if it has women in it, then I wanna be part of it too.
