I'm really at a standstill. Season 5 of the Simpsons has some classic episodes, but South Park's 5th season has the Dragon of Doom episode. Arghh!! I was kind of leaning toward South Park, since I already own Seasons 3 and 4 of the Simpsons. Kinda even it out with a new sitcom and all. *shrugs*

why not buy both?!
i know i couldnt afford both either...

After Ned Flanders give a ticket to Homer for a much-hyped football game, Homer becomes Ned's best friend.

When 'KBBL is going to give me something stupid', Bart forgoes the $10,000 cash price for an elephant. Problem is, the elephant is causing some major problems.



Burns' Heir (#1F16) 14 Apr 1994
Nearly drowning in the bathtub, Mr. Burns decides to find an heir. He sees it in the form of Bart Simpson and coerces the young Simpson into staying with him.



Sweet Seymour Skinner's Badasssss Song (#1F18) 27 Apr 1994
Bart brings the family dog to school for Show and Tell, unfortunately the dog escapes and indirectly gets Principal Skinner fired. School life under Principal Flanders just isn't the same and Bart schemes to get Skinner back.
NOTES: This episode marks the 100th episode for the series.



The Boy Who Knew Too Much (#1F19) 05 May 1994
Bart skips class and witnesses a waiter brutally beaten. The Mayor's nephew is blamed, but Bart can clear him -- however it would mean coming clean about skipping class.



Lady Bouvier's Lover (#1F21) 12 May 1994
Grampa Simpson falls in love with Marge's mother, Jackie, but Mr. Burns woos her away from him. Grampa is broken hearted when learning Jackie is going to marry Burns.



Secrets of a Successful Marriage (#1F20) 19 Apr 1992
Worrying about being slow, Homer decides to teach a marriage course. Unfortunately, he doesn't succeed as a teacher until he starts spilling some of Marge's personal secrets.

I don't find The Simpsons watchable enough to actually buy the DVDs. They're on TV all the time anyway, and I've seen all the episodes so many times already, it just doesn't seem worth it. On the other hand, I don't think South Park is good enough to be worth buying.

I disagree. South Park uses a lot of profanity, but can be very witty and sometimes even offers some funny insight into current affairs.

btw, I'm totally serious. South Park is hilarious.

My vote is definitely for Simpsons. I loved the episode “Bart Gets Famous” where Conan O’Brien appears as himself. I think he was one of the best Simpsons guest stars for season five.

I think South Park actually got funnier beyond that season, and some of the more recent seasons have had some of my favorite episodes. I haven't watch the Simpsons for years though, as it jumped the shark quite a few years ago now.

If I had to pick I would take the Simpsons at that point in time, but overall probably South Park.

It's not an option in the Poll (although I could add it since Worm is no longer around, or we could just make a new poll of which show you prefer). But if it was, I'd probably pick Family Guy. As obnoxious as it so often gets, it is the show I've connected with the most.

I find Family Guy has the most laughs per episode. I want to see the Simpson's/Family Guy cross-over.
