OK, I got a little antsy and jumped the gun (New KW Layout!)

Heh. I was going to wait with this new layout until I was able to convert more of the site, but I just couldn't wait any more, heh.

Anyway, if you go to www.kevinswatch.com now, you should see the brand new layout for Kevin's Watch. The basic layout was made up by Edge, and Vain helped with the code to get the recent topics. Alynna and danlo provided feedback as well.

But now I figure I might as well show everyone, so I can get all sorts of feedback. Right now, the only sections that are converted over to the new layout are What's New, Quotes, and Dissecting the Land.

Now, this layout is still in it's Beta stages. I'm still tinkering with it and playing around with it. So let me know if you come up with any ways to improve it. My main goal is to have the Kevin's Watch main site be more involved with the message board. So I would appreciate any comments or ideas that anyone has to help improve the layout or make it better. So if you have any ideas to make the layout look better, or to make the layout easier to use, then just let me know.

Thanks a lot. I hope you all enjoy it. Give thanks to Edge for creating the basic layout. I think it looks pretty spiffy.-jay

Heh, thanks. I donno, you could have dramatically changed your opinion in 24 hours, heh. But I appreciate positive feedback, even if it's redundant positive feedback.-jay ;)

The 'Random Member' link doesn't work; it just links to an empty member profile.

Very nice, I like the updated look. :)

How come you don't have the old EZBoard archives linked to the site (at least, not where I could find it)? Might be fun for people who want to look at really old posts.

(I guess that includes a handful of us really oldtimers. :P)

I'll have to spend more time looking at it when I'm able, but at first glance I like it!

Re: Random Member Link

It should work. It works for me at least. The problem is, my code doesn't skip over deleted (blank) accounts. Keep pressing it, and you should see a real member.

Re: Old ezBoard Watch

I don't think it exists anymore. :( It went down last year, I think. If you go to the link, pub33.ezboard.com/bkevinswatch , there's nothing there. The only way you can see old posts is by using that Internet Archive.

Come on, give me some new ideas for stuff I can add, folks, heh.-jay

"I'm a leper"

LOL!!

Nice white gold ring too.
Looks sharp.

But what's up with the symbols on the KW logo?
Were they always there?
I never noticed before.
Are they supposed to be runes?

They don't work because I haven't made the links for those yet, heh. Just LFB is done.

They are the Runes....of the Earth!

Heh, ok, actually, I didn't make that image, and I'm still only on page 204 of Runes. So I have no idea what I'm talking about.-jay

Works for me, too. But the first 3 members that came up were people I never heard of, with only 1-3 posts. :P

The old board can be found at this url:

web.archive.org/web/20030218005113/pub33.ezboard.com/bkevinswatch

But whose archive is that, and is it going to go away? It's sort of cool that it can still be found.

OH, I like it!! :D

Heads up, the Dissecting part will only show LFB, no matter what book link you click...is this part still under construction?

I love the random quote thing!! That is awesome!!

Looks great, Jay!! :D :D

Yeah, I've only been able to make the links to the LFB books in Dissecting the Land. The other books are still under construction. I basically just need the time to go through the Dissection Forum and find the link to each chapter's discussion topic.-jay

What's the point in the random member profile link?
