Wow reading that list I felt like I was riding the "Great Movie Ride" at Disney's MGM Studios!

They must own a lot of those movies.
Great list of movies.

I just recently saw Gone with the Wind for the first time.
It was really good!
Actually I'm starting to enjoy the older movies more now.
I just enjoy listening to them speak.
So much faster and clearer than today.
I read once that if you compare the scripts then to today you can see how much more speaking was done in the old days.

MM,

Great, great list. :D

One of my favorites:
92. "Cinderella story. Outta nowhere. A former greenskeeper, now, about to become the Masters champion. It looks like a mirac ... It's in the hole! It's in the hole! It's in the hole!", Caddyshack, 1980.

A couple should have been higher IMO. "Damn dirty ape," and "Here's Johnny," namely.

What? No Princess Bride?! Pah, I scoff at that list.

The order seemed kinda off... some of the really famous quotes are way at the bottom. Maybe I'm too young to appreciate some of the quotes from the older movies... meh. I was glad to see Airplane on there

I do not think that word means what you think it means....

The Jaws quote should have been top 10.

And nothing from Blazing Saddles?

"My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."

Yeah, any list that doesn't have that quote isn't a list.

There are a whole bunch of others that deserve to be on the list too.-jay

Hmm......I think my top 100 list would have about 50 Mony Python quotes, 30 Mel Brooks quotes, and 20 Naked Gun quotes......I can't believe "Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to keep on my toes" didn't make it.

Thanks for the list, MM. I only caught the 2nd half of this show, so I was initially disappointed that this line:

67. "Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine," Casablanca, 1942.
wasn't included, but I'm glad to see now that it was. What a great line!
Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to keep on my toes
:haha: :LOLS:

Where's that line from?

Overall, I think it's a great list. Much more so than most of things turn out to be. I would, however, have included:

It's K-K-K-Ken, c-c-c-coming to k-k-k-kill me!

(A Fish Called Wanda)

Where's that line from?
Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult. It also had this gem:

"Like a blind man at an orgy, I was going to have to feel my way through"

and....

"Kinky. But I like my sex the way I play basketball, one-on-one with as little dribbling as possible".

Bah. I hate lists. 64 and 79 were good. And how does 28 count when nearly everyone quotes it incorrectly?

Jerry McGuire but no Pulp Fiction? League of Their Own and no Fight Club. In a word... boo.

Sylvanus,
Bah. I hate lists
The fact that we are taking the time to discuss it says that the list has done its job. ;)
