As a (mostly) Ancient History/Sociology major I'm very impressed with this show--we're discussing it on another board I frequent. If you're missing this show Tuesday night, it's your loss.

Is this the period piece being broadcast on ABC about Rome?

Yes, fairly decent acting too--The George Clooney-ish look alike that plays Marc Anthony is mezmerising. The hunt and all the intrigue is somewhat reminicient of Martin's A Game of Thrones-good stuff!

Interesting.

Do you think they'll repeat it from the beginning? I hate to join a limited series midway through.

deleted my now moot post (mistook the show danlo and Menolly were talking about for another show with the same title)

I think we're talking about two different series, MM.

This Empire is the one we're talking about. As a six-part dramatic mini-series, I do feel it is important to start from the beginning.

Right Menolly it's on ABC and deals strictly with Rome.

The way we delete our own posts around here..haruummph! (Major sigh) anyway I was psyched about the beginning shows--Marc Anthony was such a great viper poisioning everyone...last week's was a little flat: concentrating on the love story and last night's finale bit off more that it could chew. Actually parts were great and it reminded me of Martin's A Clash of Kings but historically and battle-wise there was too much going on to fit in a little screen in 1 hour--they should have extented the series at least two more episodes (Cicero was great!). 8)

danlo, do you know if they'll be repeating it?
