Shame not the slut! The entire fiction about "ideal" women being passionless and uninterested in carnal matters is a holdover from Victorian repression. Surely men are never judged by such restrictive standards in our world...and none of that applies to the entirely different society SRD has created in these books.Revan wrote:hmmmm I've only read some of the book... but Saddith would be the one for me... Though... I can't help but notice... She dies seem a bit of a slut... Am I wrong in this? Am I getting the wrong impression?

Yeah.. I've read further now... That girl is definitely a slut.
Well, I have to concede that she's going with what she knows, and believes in making her dreams come true. She might be making a mistake thinking the way she's doing it is the only way to go, though.Icarus Unfallen wrote:If you set all those preconceptions aside and evaluate Saddith in the context her milieu, is not your view is more charitable...if not once again frankly interested?
This nearly nineteen-year-old post by Earthblood remains my favorite in the thread. It speaks my view very well.Earthblood wrote:back to sex appeal....
I think Myste's description makes her sound attractive, in an 'outdoorsy' sort of way
...And this is my second-favorite post of this thread, due to the humorous self-awareness shown at post's end.Myste wrote:I think Artagel, definitely. He's single, he's tough, and he travels a lot. Oh, and he carries a longsword.
Though probably, with my nick, I ought to be a Darsint fan.
