Well, it is a traditional Judaic belief that there is one person who has the potential of being The Messiah that is alive in every generation. The person has no idea it is them, but the possibility that The Messiah will come (for those who don't believe s/he has appeared yet) is always there.

Well, since I like to believe that we are all god, (yep, even the people you don't like, which sucks) I'd have to say that he is one of us.
