Temporal Anomalies?

There are many recorded first-hand stories of people experiencing time anomalies - being taken temporarily into another time.

One of the most well-known and best-documented accounts is that of two respectable Englishwomen - Annie Moberly, Principal of St. Hugh's College in Oxford, and a colleague, Dr. Eleanor Frances Jourdain, who while visiting Versailles in 1901, apparently were somehow taken back to the time of the French Revolution. This experience was documented in "Time Slip--Dreams: A Parallel Reality" by Johannes von Buttlar, and Annie Moberley later wrote her own account of it.

The story is recounted here: members.aol.com/timeslip8888/versailles.html

And anecdotal accounts of other experiences can be seen here: members.aol.com/timeslip8888/

Can anyone offer any explanation for this? Do you think it's genuine?

It's an interesting question to be sure, but I don't think that we currently have even a chance of a scientific explanation based on what we believe to have understood about the workings of the universe.

It would be lovely to be able to talk about rifts or rips in space/time, about wormholes or inter-dimensional travel, but we can't really, because as yet, those are mere suppositions. The most likely explanation is simply a hoax, or imagination, or indeed, alcohol or similar substances.

Pity. ;)

I don't think they are genuine. Well, I'll act the sceptic until we know for sure. Until now, all we have are historical reports by individuals. That's not enough basis for me to put my faith in anomalies. Having said that, I find them fascinating.

It would be great if it could be that.

I read it and I think it could be recalling a past life of somekind.
