Well, we all have them, or at least one. For me--and I'm hitting myself right now for saying it--but despite all my classic rock and Beatles love, I can't get "Can't Get You Outta My Head" out of my head. Agh!!

*Prays to Jimmy Page for forgiveness*

Don't hold it against me but Madonna actually has quite a few songs that I enjoy.

Great, all we need now is a Milli Vanilli fan and the planets will re-align. I’m tellin’ ya--we’re extinct! It's already writ!

Hey, you asked and I answered. Come now, you know that you enjoy some tunes that would probably rival those in terms of their sheer disposability. It's alright, no one's gonna make fun of you...think hard and unburden yourself. Once you've admitted them you'll feel much better!

Sorry, but only thing I can think of off the top of my head is Kylie. And Kylie's not a bad thing to think about. *wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more*

I like Nerfherder and The Bloodhound Gang. I owned Ice, Ice, Baby (forget the album name).

I
USED TO own *nsync and bsb...

Oh lord... I dunno why I ever liked listening to boys sing 3 octaves higher than they are suppsed to... BUT THAT'S ALL IN THE PAST!!!
Nowadays I guess it's
some of my mom's music (Indigo girls and Van Morrison) that my friends would never stop teasing me about if they knew. Or Boom boom boom boom - vengaboys
Breakfast at Tiffany's (which I have said on a couple posts) I dunno why, but I just really like that song, but thankfully my friends do too, so I can listen to it in public! Haha.

Did you also watch TRL constantly during your "boy band" phase? *Breathes* Baby steps, Foul. Baby steps.

I could say that I have a secret liking for ABBA, but I have a feeling that's way too old for most of you.

Dancing Queen?! TOO OLD?! Dancing Queen was not for an age, but for all time!

Wasn't that ABBA musical one of the hottest plays on Broadway last year? Damelon, I don't think you're alone on that one!

That's the spirit...See, it's easy and cathartic!

Yes it was Dutchess. It was playing here at the Ford Theater last year also. I had a friend who wanted to see it but she was never able to get an evening away to go.

Being a man of mostly 60s and 70s rock, here's a few guilty pleasures of mine:
a few songs by Supertramp
I Know It's Over, The Smiths
Don't Know Why, Norah Jones
Can't Get You Outta My Head, Kylie Minogue
Yes, I like a song by Kylie Minogue, the same woman responsible for "the Loco-Motion".

Then again, she was also the Green Absinthe Fairy in Moulin Rouge.

I guess that makes up for past transgressions.

A lot of the FUN music I love comes from the late 70's to early 80's--my age of innocence, so to speak. Some of my favorites:
70's
Take A Chance On Me, ABBA (one among many...

)
Don't Go Breakin' My Heart, Elton John & Kiki Dee
Heart Of Glass, Blondie
My Sharona, The Knack
She's In Love With You, Suzi Quatro
Saturday Night, Bay City Rollers
Silly Love Songs, Paul McCartney & Wings
Rivers Of Babylon, Boney M
Macho Man, Village People
Disco Round, Alicia Bridges
...and the entire Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.
80's
Church Of The Poison Mind, Culture Club
I Ran, Flock Of Seagulls
Hungry Like The Wolf, Duran Duran
Be Good Johnny, Men At Work
All Right, Christopher Cross
Gloria, Laura Branigan
Maniac, Michael Sembello
The Kid Is Hot Tonite, Loverboy
Make A Move On Me, Olivia Newton-John
Let's Hear It For The Boy, Deniece Williams
At this point, I'm sure my sober Watch colleagues have already reached for their barf bags. Good. Remember to breathe.

Your secret shame... ?

Who's that artist you only listen to when no-one else is around - because your friends would never let you hear the end of it? C'mon, now's your chance to unburden yourself. And confession is good for the soul.
My secret shame: ABBA.

Clay Aiken. No I'm not kidding. There goes what little musical respect I had around here.
I listen to Kelly Clarkson too.
