Just thought of this (maybe it's been said before).
The "Creator" (of the Land) did NOT make OUR world! By using his beggar guise he can reach/change things in the "real" world...*in the last chapter of TPTP, the conv. b/t TC and The Creator is where I'm pulling this...He says the "berek/berrett" thing was chance...* Anyway...let's just speculate on this...The world is not of his making...so who made it? Might wann reread that last chapter...
More importantly, why does he pull His heroes from a world "not of his making"? He can't cure TC's leprosy in our world, but he can reach/influence people in it? Just think about it...

My take: both evil and good become personified in the Land. Lord Foul is clearly evil personified, whereas the Creator is good personified. Evil and good in the "real world" are just things that are internalized; people have both good and evil aspects. In The Land however, good and evil are externalized.

How the good and evil characters in The Land act is a way for SRD to explore what good and evil are. So: evil is about control and hate. Good, on the other hand, is unable to act purely, because actions can always be turned to evil. To resist Despite, however, you HAVE to act, meaning that you can no longer be purely good.

Just my take.

Since Covenant is so ill, maybe he`s somehow more easier to reach? And anyway, he comes from a world where people are much more "used" to facing evil..think about all the wars and the catastrophies we see..that could account for WHY the Creator chose Covenant..Covenant had in him some capacity for facing evil that people of the Land didn`t have.

But how he could have chosen him..hmm. Are you sure that the Creator also isn`t the Creator of our world? If he isn`t, maybe he`s our Gods cousin or something. Or maybe we (the inhabitants of this world) are equal to the Creator and the Despiser..members of the same race?
