This is the conspiracy theory we should have seen coming. Some blogs and Evacuees are claiming that New Orleans' levees were strategically broken in order to flood poor neighborhoods and preserve the homes of the wealthy. The biggest "evidence" of such is supposed to be explosions heard during Katrina.

For the record, New Orleans has plenty of gas mains which do tend to blow up in the midst of a Category 4 hurricane.

Yeah, and Trent Lott's house was just a sacrificial lamb to obfuscate the conspiracy.

I still say it was Bush off the coast of Africa with the Staff of Law who summoned the hurricane to begin with. His real name is Drool Bushworm.

Isn't Trent Lott's house in Miss.? He actually had double Indemnity Insurance for Natural Disasters, so he's getting twice what the house was worth.

Well, this theory is certainly one way to get around council votes needed for Urban Renewal.

So when the next big storm rolls in, Dubya should drink some Earthblood and command the storm to go away. Katrina is his fault, after all!

Wouldn't do any good, by the time he got involved, the storm would've already passed and done it's damage.

Yea, I think that would be quite entertaining hearing Bush try to pronounce Woodhelvenen or several other words, as well.

Sometimes it's amusing hearing bush pronounce several other words. I mean, literally, the phrase several other words. You never know.

This was mentioned on the radio today.
The story told was that the President (or whatever the high office is called) of Africa was telling the evacuees in North Carolina to beware of "the white devils" who blew up the levees in New Orleans because the "white devils" wanted to drown all of the blacks.
Sounds to me that this guy is the prejudice one!
There were more than black folks that perished in those floods.

The newscaster reading the report did not say which country in Africa.
He did laugh at the report though, saying that he thought it was a joke. (The blowing of the levees)
It must had been the same sources that claimed the World Trade Center Towers were blown up after the planes crashed into them.
