Did anyone catch the (Threshold) premier of this last night? I meant to-but the week wore me out...(looks very cool)

I watched it. It was okay, but it's no X Files. I'm hooked enough to watch the next episode, but not much more than that.
Some of the science was fast and loose ("This fractal represents some sort of alien DNA ..."), but most of it was realistic enough that it didn't detract or distract from the story (which is all I really need).
If anything the cast wasn't worthy of the show. The lead fem was a CSI wanna-be, the mad scientist can't help it he's Data, no one notices that the hacker is a midget, and the last guy - if he was in a slasher flick you'd have him pegged to die in the first twenty minutes.

Interesting--maybe Invasion will be better...

Peter Dinklage is the hacker. and the show isn't worthy of him.

I guess, since I just retitled the thread, that each network is coming out with some kind a "alien-type" Sci-Fi show; Threshold on CBS, Invasion on ABC, Surface on NBC and I think even Fox may have one as well (possibly called The Gate and something called Bones) as well the Medium-like Ghost Whisperer with beyond hot J. L. Hewitt on NBC (?). Surface looks outright stupid and Invasion has the coolest previews, imho. Perhaps I'm expecting more from ABC after LOST.

I watched the premier of Invasion - was quite impressed; definitely enough to keep watching.
OT, OT Bones on Fox

something called Bones
FYI,
Bones premiered on Sept 13, is a pretty much regular police procedural, staring David Boreanaz (Angel from Buffy and Angel) and Emily Deschanels, he's an FBI agent who is the ex Army sniper who believes that crimes are solved through hard investigations and really sciencific techniques contribute little to the solution, she's a forensice scientist who is trying to convince him otherwise. I watched at least 2/3 of the premier episode and I liked it.

I'm glad you like it--but that pretty much eliminates it from this category.

Well since I first posted this it seems as if all these shows have failed except for Invasion, which still looks pretty cool, but LOST wears me out so much I turn off the TV when it comes on...
