New member to this site, and have loved the books for over 20 years. So thought I would post a theory I have just thought of.

Ok heres my theory.. Is Covenant really Berek?

With reference to arch of time being broken, and the ability to travel back through time.. was Covenant actually Berek, but beacuse that was the history of the land Covenant goes along with it in his time travel, the myth will live on?

Just a thought, so shoot me down in a ball of flames!

Let me just say "I sure as hell hope not" because I think that kind of trickery would be counter to what I've come to expect from SRD. That whole paradox of "would the people of the land have revered Covenant without the legend of Berek" question, which leads to the paradox of him creating his own sustaining legend, is the sort of stuff that makes me want to slap a ban on using time-travel as a device.

Um, by which I mean "Welcome to the Forum!". I just finished reading ROTE, so all of my thoughts are just now coming out - fresh as it were.

Welcome Ramus!

I also doubt that Covenant is Berek - that's just too easy.

Thanks, good to be here.

I agree the theory is too easy, but it would make sense.

What would I win if I am right :p

I think this question has been explored at length in another thread and the general concensus was that TC could not have beem Berek. Jeremiah on the other half-hand........
