that they were using some of the Words of Power during the will-to-live-killer that was D&D II on the SciFi channel a few weeks back? They stopped just short of Melunkurion, and I'm not sure if they used abatha, but the rest were definitely in there. I'm not sure why I even watched it. Nights with no responsibilities to fulfill can be so dangerous.

I happened to record D&D II to watch sometime.
I will have to check it out sooner than I expected.

Indeed! You know, we wondered about that name...

On a related note, I really liked how between LFB and TIW, they added an extra Word. It was just a tiny thing, but I thought it was great, that in those forty years after they got the Second Ward they'd managed to learn only one more of the Seven.

Was anyone else disappointed that we never found out what the missing Word was?

Yeah, I'm a lurker (insert cheap Sarangrave joke here)
There were always two things about the first trilogy that I was insatiably curious about: Hyrim and Shetra's journey to Coercri, and the Wards. The Wards were like little xmas presents, the Old Lords were kinda like the parents making the kids wait, and the New Lords were like the kids shaking the presents but not figuring much out. When SRD released the missing chapter of the journey to Coercri, I just about made happy accidents all over the place. Now if only we could learn what strange knowledge Kevin hid in the undiscovered Wards... from what I've gleaned from the Gradual Interview, he's written them off as irrelevant to a Land without Lords, but maybe he'll throw one or two in ala Stonemight Woodhelvin (some group of people finding a Ward and learning to use it in limited fashion, but not to it's full or intended limits).
Anyways. Hi.

Maybe if you let SRD know in the GI that he has this sort of power over you, he will.

A large-ish part of The Illearth War was cut because it was from a different PoV - Korik, the bloodguard, showing the events of Hyrim and Shetra's journey from revelstone to the Sarangrave. It was released seperately at a later date.
