Heh. Ok, a lot to cover.

I have to go with CovJr's take on it. The threads have to have been started within the last year. I'm not going to be a stickler about it, though (this is all just for fun), so if it's within a couple weeks... So yeah, anything from October of '94 to Oct of '95. For threads, it will go by the date of the parent post. Current posts in older topics are still eligible for best post this time around. So I imagine today is your last chance if you were holding anything back  . Dissection votes have no limit on time frame. Any avatar used in the oct 04 to Oct 05 time frame are valid, even if it's not the user's current av.

As far as voting goes, there are no nominations (except for possible award titles. nominate as many as you want here so we can put them on the ballot). It's an open ballot - fill in the blank vice multiple choice. Everyone's vote weighs the same, be they mod or not. Since I'm running the thing, I am not eligible for any awards (any votes for me (ha) will count as a null (not the sarge) vote), and I will only vote to break a tie. Although you can vote for any person in any number of categories, there will only be one award per member, and if someone wins more than one category, he/she will only take the award for which they got the most votes (I can post the matrix after the awards if people want).

There will, of course, be an option to donate two dollars to the Avatar for Supreme Ruler of the World campaign.

Quee, "Best 'What kind of _____ are you' (personality test) thread" is going on the ballot.

Hmm....that could be the first step toward establishing that benevolent dictatorship. ;)

But, on topic....any new news regarding the process, Syl? And about when nominations will be accepted?

I was quoting Syl, to be fair. ;)

And I would vote for Avatar for PRESIDENT 8) faster than SRD can say "from one heartbeat to the next", but only if he runs NOW, because I know he would only have enough time to do the right thing, and fix all the broken parts of our nation, and not have enough time to craft an effective strategy to attempt a coup before he either served 2 terms, or we voted his ass out! :P

The only nomination is for categories. That ends Sunday at midnight or thereabouts. Monday I'll post the ballot. We'll give it about 2 weeks for everybody to PM me their votes (unless anyone thinks we should give it more time). And that should be it.

Man, what century are you living in? ;)

How about "Funniest Watcher?" ... 'cause I know who I'll vote for. :shifty: :P

Actually, near the end of my first term, I would hold a referendum, asking the people whether or not they would accept me as Benevolent Dictator for Life for the next, say 5 years.

After that, another referendum about whether to make that more permanent, based on my assumed successes. In addition, I would step down from office should anybody present me with a petition bearing the signatures of no less than 60% of the population over, say, 18. (Maybe 16?).

Anyway, sounds good Syl. Given any thought to the actual awards? A little custom Item maybe?

You know, you're going to be needing a Benevolent Advisor for Life, too? ;) Someone "paranoid"; or "aware of all things"?
