A Tale of Two Steves

Well, as most of you know by now. I blew off going to the World Fantasy Convention this weekend in Madison, even though I had paid the money to go and had arranged months ago to get a long weekend from work. 
Well, today rather than meeting Stephen R. Donaldson again, I got to watch my younger son Steven R. take third place in a national championship wrestling tournament. And it meant the world to him that I was able to be there.

He worked really hard today, only lost one match and that was by only three points, and pinned all of his other foes to take third. He was so tired he fell asleep in the car on the way home.
They will probably post the results sometime in the next few days. He took third place in the 11-12 year old group at 126 pounds.
