The Chronicles of Lord Mhoram

OK, I finally got it figured out.
Too much of what happens with Covenant is internal, and subtle. That's fine for books, but it doesn't work in a movie. What would work in the movie is showing the beauty and the horror of the Land...Mount Thunder, Revelstone, the Sarangrave, the epic battles of TIW and TPTP. The only solution is to tell the story from Lord Mhoram's point-of-view. Covenant becomes a minor character. The rape scene can be taken out completely...it didn't affect Mhoram, so we just need to come up with a new backstory for Elena.
Now, here's the brilliant part: Since Covenant's a minor character, we only need to keep his basic personality. We have a lot of flexibility with the details of how he's portrayed. So, who do we get to play him?
That's right, Hayden Christensen! The last two "Star Wars" movies have taught us that people will flock to a movie despite the fact that it has Hayden Christensen in it. I have to confess I've got no idea how that works, but I think we should take advantage of it.
