Richard Pryor passed away. Always sad when someone with such an ability to make people laugh leaves us.

Richard Pryor and George Carlin are my favorite comedians of all times.Amazing Richard lived thrue drug and alchohol problems, setting himself on fire, etc etc etc only to finally be taken by MS.Thanks for the laughs and all the barriers you broke down R.I.P Richard Pryor.

I remember seeing, iirc, Live on the Sunset Strip years ago in the cinema. Odd, since stand-up concerts are't usually in that venue. I thought I was going to start spitting up blood from laughing so hard. I couldn't breath for a couple of minutes straight.

RIP RP.
(I was hoping his middle name was something starting with I, so it could be RIP RIP. Woulda been funny, what with him being a comedian, and all. Wikipedia says his name is Richard Franklin Lennox Thomas Pryor.)

I remember the first time I heard his bit about his pet monkey and the dogs next door. I've never laughed that hard in my life. I love comedy, and there's no one; not Carlin (who stopped being funny 20 years ago), Williams (who stopped being funny 15 years ago), or Rock (who's a blatant rip-off of Pryor), who comes close.

Rest in peace Richard. Thanks for the laughs.

my favorite bit of Pryor's (besides Mudbone, who i love) was the bit, in Live on Sunset Strip where he talks about his cocaine addiction, the freebasing accident and the aftermath in the hospital! brilliant, funny, and poignant.

I was never a fan of his comedy, but I really respected the man. He would make a great donaldson character: flawed but with a great respect to his fellow man and humanity...

Richard lighting the match and doing the Pryor running joke was priceless. aadmitting to what everyone was saying was brilliant.
