The Easter Bunny gremlins affected the server motherboard so things went awry. They swopped machines and I figure they will swop them again in due course so a bit more down time is expected.


Take 2:

The server that they changed to had its time set in the future and when they reset it to the present, a whole bunch of weird and wooly errors crept in. Some of you would have received messages saying you couldn't post again so soon.....others may have posted but their messages appear to have disappeared....and you may have noticed that you have issues with the posts read vs those not.

If you're still having any problems, let me know but the best solution is probably to log off using the logout link under the banner, to close all browser windows, and to then log on again.

Hey Vain, since you know so much more about these things than I do, and I did nothing to make it happen with my 2 year old laptop, how come I can chat at the Hangar but you can't? Oh heck, forget it. I wouldn't understand the answer anyway.

I think it's my firewall that's blocking it....I'll work around it

Caamora, all you have to do is look at everyone's profiles or posts. Those who have little Yahoo or Aim buttons or whatever on their profiles have those IM services and you can get their handles when you click on the buttons.
