On the subject of posting problems, seeing as the original thread is stuck...
This is what Vain said:
I'm going to need to fix this email bug next week - please don't put topic reply notification on for anything
[Edit: Highlighted Vain's request - A.]
This is what I said:
Everybody, please make sure that reply notification in your profile is turned off. This may help the problem until Vain can get to it.
This is what Jay said:
Test. Jay want post. Jay want post now.-jay
LOL, okay, this is what Jay said first:
The only known solution is for me to ban you.
Ok, ok, I have no clue what's going on. Heh.-jay
Other than that, folks, all I can tell you for now is to hang tight until Vain gets a handle on things.

OK.. I've disable SMTP email and the brown colour scheme for now. Here's hoping it has some positive impact. I'll be looking into the problem in more detail durig the coming week and hopefully finally resolve some of the major bugs. It looks like we're due for a major overhaul

I have added a "Watched Topics" link under and to the right of the KW banner.
Please click on it to see if you are watching any topics. If you are then please select all and remove the watched topics from your list. Hopefully once this has sorted itself out, you can go back to watching topics.
In addition. please let me be clear about something here. This is a current problem and if anybody persists in adding further topics to watch until this is resolved then I personally will cancel their account here.

I had over 7 pages of watched topics.

Thanks Loremaster. I know it's an inconvenience so the effort is appreciated. Same goes for all you guys who rely on the topic Watch feature.

Well not too much of an inconvenience. I really only want to watch 1 topic; I am just surprised I had 7+ pages.

I should add that if your profile has the "Always notify me of replies" option enabled then please disable it.

I couldn't post a pm a little earlier. Is that related to your work?

I had over 35 pages of watched topics, some of which haven't had a post in over a year.

I went into my profile, and I have never signed up for watched topics nor notify of reply but am signed up for notify of a new PM with pop up window. Do I need to turn this off as well?

I still get notification, even though i have never activated it. please disable it. it all goes to my bulk mail now, so i guess that is different.

if notification causes so many problems, why not just disable the option?

OK. Sending pm's should be OK now. I don't think there's a problem having notification for that - what I believe is happening is that the hosts email server is being dealt a hefty blow and that's causing the problems. Essentially, if 20 people are watching one thread then 20 people receive an email when someone posts to it. The more posts, the more emails and then of course everything crashes and burns.
I don't want to disable the option - it's seful for some people so taking it away won't be a good idea. I suppose that once all is definitely resolved it would be nice to have ourselves watching our watched topics options and clearing the unneeded ones occassionally.
Tazzyjoe, do you mean in your profile?
Oh and apologies if I seemed a tad grumpy earlier - I was

I say one thing could be removed: The profile option for always watching topics. Make sure the default for everyone is 'don't watch', then remove the option from profile and registration entirely. If people want to watch a topic, they can set it themselves when they reply.
