Bucs over Skins

(Bucs have more players that have been here before, and the kids (Simms and Cadillac) will provide a spark. Plus, Bucs have the #1 defense in the league and certainly have the personnel to cover Moss and stop Portis.)

Pats over Jags

(A Brady-Bledsoe controversy this Jaguars decision is not. However, starting Leftwich over Garrard is a recipe for disaster. Rust is not something you need when facing a team that's riddled with champions. It's a good test for the Pats in stopping Taylor though.)

Panthers over Giants

(The Giants are in trouble against this Panthers team. They don't have the db's to cover Smith, and they don't have the linebackers to punish Foster. Should be a shootout and should be close since the Giants do have an offense. But then again, Eli's gonna make some mistakes...)

Steelers over Bengals

(Steelers are not initimidated by the Bengals, and who would be? The Bengals totally tanked the last two games AND the Steelers already beat Cincinnati in their stadium. Differing states of mental toughness could turn this into a blowout...)

Suppose I could have just simply posted that I agree with you, Sarge. :? But since posting doesn't waste paper and thus waste trees...I think I'm good.

Second round should be interesting if our predictions ring true... :D

Hate to go against my hometown team, but...
I think that the Redskins are going to sneak by the Bucs in a nail-biting game.
Jacksonville will pounce on the Patriots.

However, I will go with Carolina over New York and
Steelers will take the bite out of the Bengals.

As long as Washington doesn't go far, I'll be happy. Oh, and hopefully someone will beat the Colts, too.

My team was out a looong time ago, heh.-jay

I think that was the biggest WTF! game I ever watched.
It must have been broadcast from another plane of existance, because what happened could not have happened in this one.
I'm still in denial. Anger is building.

I expect the Panthers and the Steelers. Unfortunately I hate the Panthers (being a Bucs fan) and I have no interest in the Steelers. I'm hoping for an unlikely Seahawks/Broncos matchup.
I know. The way the playoffs have gone so far it aint likely. Maybe the commercials will be good this year. :-(

I thought refereeing in all the games has been so bad. Pats def got hosed on pass interference call, and possibly on the fumble thru the end zone. The guy kicked the pylon as the ball was flying out, how you place the ball on the one, especially when you're running down the field trying to keep up. I see it as first 2 TDs by Denver were thru refs, but Pats still turned it over 5 times.

How 'bout Vanderjacked, 2 years ago saying the team had no heart, and he misses. I was rooting for Indy, but gotta say glad that came back to bite him in the arse. But why on 2nd and 3rd did Indy go deep? They settle for 46 yarder? Not smart, and Colts could never counter the blitz. They moved the ball when Pitt didn't blitz. Poor coaching job there.

I think if Shaun Alexander plays, Seattle, if not, Carolina. I'll take Pittsburgh, b/c Denver didn't show me much. I'm rooting for Bill Cowher tho.

Edit: I think it'd be great if Seattle made it, they've never been there before, and the season MVP in the Super Bowl.

Come ON Pittsburg! (I've got a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach that Denver might ruin a really good season and sleaze to the Lombardi) Don't let it happen!!!!

Regarding the Patriots game and the interference call in the endzone with Samuel: Worst. Call. Ever. Basically cost us the game: Gave Denver a touchdown as well as the momentum. Brady goes to 10-1 in the postseason, still the best ever, but it hurt quite a bit. Trust me.

Seattle will win it all this year, I think.
