I found this today.
A simple and clean listing of SRD's stuff and possibly some comments (if true) that he's made of other's works all in one spot.
I hope it hasn't been mentioned yet.
I didn't even know that he had so many other short stories published!

I'm most curious about Melissa Barth's book, Stephen Donaldson (Starmont Reader's Guide). I've never heard of this! I tried the supplied links to Amazon and Amazon UK but neither site has any image of the book, and the book itself appears to be unavailable.

I have the last two of this MAN WHO series ... finding the first two is the hardest thing.

Any suggestions? I've looked just about everywhere.

That's one of the old incongruities of that fanfiction listing-many believe that her book was about Stephen (no R) Donaldson the gay activist poet who died a number of years ago. Most of the short stories in other collections were first printed in SRD's collections, I believe Mythological Beast is in the Unicorns book and Unworthy of the Angel in A Very Large Array.

I bought all four from amazon last year (they had a 4-for-3 deal). I don't know if they have it going anymore.

Weren't all four books released in one volume (or, it was at least the first three in one volume).

Currently, Amazon.com does show one of the books I don't have. But, they are the downloadable, listen to them, type of purchase - not the actual book, unless it's in paperback.

I only purchase HC/DJ, for my Library, which now has over two hundred books in it.

I have not seen the books (except at a SRD book signing) with Reed Stevens as the author. However, all four of these books have been issued in hard-cover format with Stephen R. Donaldson listed as the author. I obtained the latter two published at a World Fantasy Convention in 2000 (in Corpus Christi), and the other two through Alibris. Incidently, there are two very good sites for finding used books. These are

I have read all 4 of these books, and really enjoyed them. They are not fantasy nor science fiction, but a contempory fiction series. These have the same style of writing as other SRD books, somewhat gritty in nature.

(Humourous note-I happened to be going to the Merril Collection in Toronto (just to donate some fanzines to them), and had a copy of The Man Who Tried to Get Away with me. Now, the Merril Collection has virtually every science fiction and fantasy book published in their collection-BUT they did not have this book. It was one that I was reading when I went to see them. The fact that I had this book got their attention.)
