5 years! ...!

I am reminded of the song from a Flinstone's episode:

"Happy aniversary. Happy anniversary. Happy Anniversary. HA-ppy anniver-sa-ry!"

I have been married for 5 years today. I honestly can't imagine it being that long. Every time I try and tell myself that it has only been 2 years, my 3 year old daughter calls me...

Bliss is wonderful. :hearts: :hnk: :twirl: :ahem:

Congrats!!!

I have a similar story with my marriage.
I've been married ten.
My oldest child is six.
Both my wife and I have a hard time remembering the first 4 years.

Way to go, Usivius.
And may there be many more years yet to enjoy.
(I've just passed 20 years myself. Damn, that's as long as a prison term... 8O )

(Oops, did I say that out loud???)

CONGRATULATIONS!!

I hit 22 years this February 25th ... and my 18 year old daughter and 20 year old son remind me how old I am.

Oh, and "bliss" is replaced by "remember to clean the damn carpets" [I did 4 rooms for Christmas"vacation".]

But of course - everyone loves each other dearly!! :D

I failed at my first venture, and remain wary of future ones.

Best of luck to those of you in a marriage, it takes a lot of work to make it successful!

Marrage is kind of like a brass object:
Over the years, it tarnishes.
You have to polish it once in a while to get the luster back in it. :D

There were WAY too many fingerprints on that brass 'object' to warrant polishing and salvaging.

But thanks for the beautiful analogy!

Funny, whenever I polish my object it's usually when my wife is away.

I failed at my first one too ( 4 years ), but will be 8 years this year with my wonderfully understanding wife - she needs to be to be married to me.

Our 19 month old boy and 4 month old girl don't let us have time to argue so everything is rosy in our garden :D

Oh, and congratulations on reaching 5, it's hard work and you have to work hard at it to get results.

*ROTFLMAO*

Happy 5 years, Usivius! And everyone else for being able to put up with one person for any length of time!

I'm like MM - single, childless, petless and free of responsibilities/blame for any of it. All I have is my mortgage and car. And sweet sweet FREEDOM to travel at the drop of a hat!
