I did!! on the last page I said she was so fluffy and cute! Then someone who will remain nameless (skyweir) thought I was pulling their leg because they thought the post as not working. But I did see your cute doggie!

Yup, got a small pocket with sparkly bits! Found myself at a local spot. It's carnelian!

Very cool. I've never found an actual gemstone in the wild, but I used to have a couple of small geodes (one was amethyst, the other quartz and something darker - not sure what) - must have lost them when I moved. Both were plain rock on the outside - never seen one quite like yours.

I I love the quartz family, I also have some amethyst and a great looking smoky quartz that always reminds me of fire.

This is only one Carnelian I found! There's a great spot that my brothers and I go to where you can pick em straight from the stream gravel. These and coprolites, dinosaur POOP, another fav of mine haha
