Nice clouds. I still miss Lurch's clouds. Where are ya, Lurch?
Exactly. They are also microchipped. I hope it's never needed, but I like to be prepared.lorin wrote:Even I know that. In case they get outside. They have a tendency to run out a door, or a window etc. Besides, everyone needs a little bling.Avatar wrote:So...if they never go outside, why do you have collars and tags on them?

Awww - your cat's nose is so cute, Sorus!
And I love their funny little mouths viewed from below.
And those feet with their paw-pads!
Oh... I have been wanting to tell you ...I think someone has discovered the "killer app" of Facebook:
She makes a thread where people play the game "Does this cat have a faaace?"
And it's the game where - you guessed it - people post pictures of their cats, and judges decide if each cat has a faaace!
Good to have ya around, lorin.

"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."

Those are really great. I have never seen giraffes outside a zoo. Have seen zebras on a farm (which was weird and random), but not the same as seeing them in the wild. Little bit jealous. 'Wildlife' around here consists of raccoons, skunks, and the occasional coyote.

We were actually that close, which was pretty cool.lorin wrote:Thanks, Av. That is amazing. Is that a lens or did you actually get that close?
Like I said in the other thread, these guys were pretty habituated. This was also one of the first walking tours ever done at the conservancy, so humans on foot were a bit of a novelty for the wildlife.
The zebra in particular were not bothered at all.
What makes it even better was that this was only about a 30 minute drive from where I live.

i've had this with actors before, on the set,
where they get upset about the [size of my]
trailer, and i'm always like...take my trailer,
cause... i'm from Kentucky
and that's not what we brag about.

yeah it was a bit weird to navigate but I didn't have too much trouble. and there are a ton of photos I've saved in there that i'd forgotten were there!! (and one or two of you missy!!) and it seems, even tho there's tons of photos, I'm only using 14% of the space I have to use too!!

I stopped using Photobucket after they wanted an exorbitant amount of money if I wanted to use my pics on any other site. They apparently lowered it to a less-exorbitant sum, but I'm hesitant to give them anything. Let's see if I can get something to work...
