You have a small, portable CD player, a warehouse club sized package of batteries, and a chance to grab 3 cd's out of your collection as you are being summoned to the Land.
Which three would you grab??

Two of mine would be Beethoven's Ninth and probably One by the Beatles. Not sure of the third.

I`m gonna get canned for this but * shrugs* who cares.

1. The Very Best Of Cat Stevens - I`m a hippy at heart and I would love to singMorning Has Broken while sitting under a tree in Andelain

2. Toss up between "Romanza" by Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban`s self-titled CD. Both have beautiful voices and songs. Probably Romanza.

3. I`ll get slain for this one - Abba Gold *gasp*. I can listen to Abba all day - its very boppy

But I`d really miss my Chris Isaak CDs, Savage Garden, Meatloaf`s Bat Out Of Hell, Very Best Of The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac CDs and Oasis` "What`s The Story Morning Glory?" ( They were ***holes but I loved the tracks on that CD)

........and now I shall retreat to the safety of my Mainstream Poppy Hidey Hole

Wouldn't it just be easier for me to grab my whole CD book than take 3 out of it? *sigh*

Tool - Undertow
A Perfect Circle - Mer de Noms
Alice in Chains - Dirt

I'd later hate myself for making that choice, though.

First, I'd have to run to my car, my computer desk and my garage to find all of my cds. It would also depend on when they were asking If I had to choose now though:

1. Beethoven's Ninth

2. ELO's Greatest Hits

3. The Very Best of Jim Croce

Next week it might be something different.

I would drop the cd's and grab a pen and a notebook instead.

Neil Young's Decade, Ottmar Liebert's Opium and Pink Floyd's The Wall...then I would have 6 CDs (**major smile!**)

-Bach: Unaccompanied violin music

-Steely Dan: Countdown to Ecstasy

-Brahms' German Requiem, performed by Robert Shaw

-Beatles: White Album

-Beethoven's string quartets on Naxos, the volume with Op 132. (duchess says I can't count the complete quartets as one selection!:()

-ELO: Out of the Blue

-Elton John: Madman Across the Water

-Lyle Lovett: Joshua Judges Ruth

-Bruce: Greetings From Asbury Park

-Glen Velez: Ramana (hand drums)

-Bach: Toccatas and Fugues, performed by Christopher Herrick

Ahh F&F, some of his songs are the coolest..The First Cut Is The
Deepest, Oh Very Young, Moon Shadow, Hard Deaded Woman, Lady D'Arbanville....I love them all.

Sunday morning ritual is to sit out in the garden with breakfast and Cat Stevens. Coolest way to start the day. :D

Well, for me, as far as rituals:

"While much of Houses of the Holy thumps hard enough to knock the incense holders off the speakers, the generally upbeat vibe makes this a great choice for playing on the first (dancing) day of spring, windows flung wide open as Jimmy Page's lead lines soar out over the neighbors' rosebushes."

Amen!

1. Abba Generation, the A-teens

2. Aquarius, Aqua

3. Aquarium, Aqua

Abbey Road by the Beatles; Live in Concert with the Edmonton Symphony by Procol Harum; and Something, Anything by Todd Rundgren.

I agonized over this for an hour. I would loved to have put a Top Ten.

When you asked if the collected works of Beethoven counted as one CD, I suspected you might have a spot of trouble.

Well, I hope it's a solar powered CD player otherwise we wont get to hear these albums much. I'd take The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses, Massive Attack's Blue Lines and The Holy Bible by Manic Street Preachers.

I already feel bad for leaving behind Pearl Jam's Ten, but I felt that those three would cover most moods I'd be likely to experience.

Rainmakers - Rainmakers
Warmer Side Of Cool - Wang Chung
Greatest Hits #2 - Olivia Newton John

or I might dump ONJ for "Every Brilliant Eye" - Died Pretty
