We're having an informal party to watch the Superbowl. It's a open party in the Commons Room where we'll watch the pre-pregame show starting at 11:00 AM EST on ESPN, the pregame show on ABC starting at 2:00 PM, and the game itself, all of the projection system in surround sound, if it's being broadcast in surround sound.

No alcohol allowed, but anyone can join us, as long as they provide something to eat or drink to share. Paul and I will supply the pizza.

This year we had the Norwalk virus and ate nothing.

Usually we have a make-your-sub party, with plenty of meats, cheeses, and veggies to choose from. :) And plenty of chips and a variety of dips. :)

This year I'm planning on supporting N'awlins, so red beans and rice (I like Mahatma's foil bag version, so that's easy) and some chicken and sausage gumbo will be my mainstays.

But since watching the coverage, if we can get a digital converter box hooked up in time, is an all day affair, I see some nachos and wings gracing the coffee table in the living room at some point.
