What's the most disgusting food or drink experience you've ever had?
For me, it's got me to be when I got up early one morning, was thirsty, decided to have some milk. I had already downed a load of the milk when the sour lumpy taste came to smack me awake. It was vile, words cannot express how bad off milk tastes like.
I haven't drank any milk without smelling it since that day. I still have nightmares sometimes; I'll never be whole away.
What are yours?

Ah, the terrors of milk. For my entire life, I had known milk with no ice. One day, when I was a like six or seven, my grandmother handed me a glass and didn't tell me ice cubes were in it. Absent-mindedly, I put it to my lips, took a gulp; I thought I had put vomit in my mouth. Maybe it's genetic, I dunno. I just don't like objects in my milk!

Nothing worse than someone using your beer bottle as an ashtray.

I used to tutor a Chinese boy (Andy), in fact, I taught him to speak English. His parents owned a Chinese food restaurant. After tutoring for a few years, they would offer me the food they ate at home.
His parents only spoke Chinese, so we communicated by hand gestures and of course we used Andy as a translator. One day his mom offered me a bowl of soup. In it were tiny little squid (squids? squidii?

) and I really, REALLY didn't want to eat them. But I had to. In the Chinese culture, its offensive to turn down food. Andy, that little sh*t, wouldn't eat it, and he sat there grinning at me as I choked them down and tried to look happy about it. YUCK!!!!!!!
So, of course, since they owned the Chinese food restaurant, every night as part of my compensation, I got to pick something from the menu. I turned to Andy and asked him what was good. He looked me dead in the eye and said, "I have no idea, my Mom won't let me eat this food, its all fried and not good for you!" OMG!
Even funnier, after a few years a competing Chinese Restaurant opened in the neighborhood. Andy turned to me one day and said, "You will never believe what I heard about the new restaurant!!!! They use CATS!!! Can you believe it!!!!??" The poor child was horrified, and I realized I was going to have to have a little talk with the poor chap about stereotypes.
Ahhhhhh, I loved that boy, and he is now attending George Washington University, Pre-Med. *Puffs out her chest proudly*

I refuse to eat anything I don't like myself...I don't see the point. Eating is meant to be pleasureable.
For accidental purposes, the smoke in the beer is pretty bad...

I would have to agree about the off-milk. One of the most disgusting substances that you can possibly put into your mouth.

i remember when I was a kid my mum make me some tomato sandwiches. had the first - great. picked up the second, bit into it , and aaahhhhh she'd run out of tomatoes so had used tinned tomatoes in the last one.
It was a long time after I started cooking that I could stomach the thought of tinned tomato in my food!
The thought of that sandwich still makes me nauseous, about 23 years later!

Milk. I hate the taste and, more importantly, the texture of milk. Doesn't have to be sour, it's vile enough fresh.
The irony is that I love most other dairy foods. So turn the milk into something else, and it's all good.

You should run for Government and make that a promise; I'd vote for you.
