Yes, it did. I'd say it was my favorite TC thread from last year. I think CovenantJr got overlooked in the KW awards for that one, heh. Tremendously intelligent and entertaining discussion we had there.

I haven't posted in this place in ages.. I think I'm going to make more of an effort. I've recently started to reread the books.

I'm guessing being on topic wasn't factored in... ;)

Very cool, MM! As Av said, it's great when you do this stuff. I remember when you did all of my posts throughout the whole Watch. 8O :)

I'm amazed to see I'm at the top of the list for all-time posts. I don't post in here much any longer. I've already said nearly everything about TCTC that was bottled up inside me for all those years before I found the Watch. (Always grateful to Syl for finding me out in the wastelands of mIRC and bringing me in. :D)

Thanks! Some see this sort of thing as just a lot of work - and it is - but to me, it's also a lot of fun.

Yeah, that Syl dude has a knack for that.

I feel the same in regards to posting here. Of course, I don't pretend that my TC posts have ever held a candle to yours in terms of the depth of insight offered. Your discussions on the Haruchai have provided me some of the very best reading on the Watch. And then when Durris joined, you two kicked it into even higher gear. I miss Durris.
Menolly wrote:I'm guessing being on topic wasn't factored in... ;)
Nope. This is strictly an objective by-the-numbers thing. A post is a post. That said, I wish I could've included the many interesting TC threads that just missed a spot. These stats are akin to box-office figures: of course it's going to be dominated by "blockbusters" like the Countdown threads.

Matrixman wrote:And then when Durris joined, you two kicked it into even higher gear. I miss Durris.
Ah, dear Durris. I wish she was still around. I met her and her husband. I had SRD sign a book for her at the first Elohimfest, and gave it to her in person. A shame her schedule keeps her so busy. :( Yeah, she really talked some good Haruchain, didn't she? :D

I miss Durris.
<sigh> So do I. I didn't know that you got to meet her, Fist. I would've enjoyed that.

Thanks for updating this thread, MM. :D

No problem, dlb. I didn't know Fist had met Durris either (or I forgot).

BTW: MM, do you have some sort of direct database access, or do you spend long hours paging through the forums with a notepad, or is it something in between?

Posted: Tue Feb 05, 2008 8:24 am
by matrixman
Wayfriend: I don't have privileged access to a database. Like you said, my method simply involves a pen, notepad, a calculator, hours of forum scanning, extensive use of the search function, and a lot of patience.

Anyone can do this. Difference is, I actually went ahead and did it. :)
