Are Conspiracies justified?

What do you think of a Conspiracy? Or rather, the question should be: What do you think of things being hidden from us? If there were Alien Conspiracies; or hidden teachnologies, do you think it is right that it is hidden from us?

I can't comment on the conspiracy of aliens and their technology being hidden from us as the whole notion of governments having aliens and spaceships is nonsense. There is no evidence to support it, and the whole abduction thing is a sham.

conspiricies would tend to fall apart. so i have trouble believing that there are any grand conspiracies.

Any conspiracy which requires further reasoning is a sign that it's nonsense. For example. The Freemasons are comprised of Satanists who conduct rituals in private. Problem: no member has ever come out and stated so - it's all inference. Solution: Oh, the Freemasons control the police and media; anyone who is a threat will get arrested. Problem: No has ever said anything upon being arrested. Solution: Some pedophiles are ex-Freemasons who were labeled this way to lose credibility, same thing with fraud artists, rapists, insane, etc.

Something I once wrote about consipracies:
Certainly there are conspiracies. The Oxford English Dictionary defines conspiracy as:
“A combination of persons for an evil or unlawful purpose.”
This sort of thing happens all the time, and often we are all unaware of it. This does not imply a grand and world-encompassing plot is taking place.

Many different people plot for many different purposes, but to assume a few people plot for all purposes is stretching it a bit. Again, it’s possible, but probably unlikely...

...The Really important thing to remember about conspiracies, and perhaps the thing that accounts for the popularity of the theory, is that they’re easy. It’s so much better to imagine a group of men, mad with power and cynicism, plotting in dark rooms.

If we didn’t imagine them, we’d have to face up to the fact that bad things happen because perfectly ordinary people are capable of going out and doing terrible things to other ordinary people. If there is no Them, then it must be Us. And it can’t be Us. Can it?

Alright, let us speak on a purely theatrical basis; let us say there was aliens, or hidden technology, what would you think of that? How does that feel to you?

How do I know that they exist?

I think conspiracies of one sort or another can be fully justified. Whether we as the ignorant public care to like being left out or not is another matter entirely.

too many cameras, camera phones, video recorders, etc for me to believe that aliens form space are running around. same goes for Nessie, Champ, Bigfoot, ghosts, etc.

That's the thing. Of one sort or another. There are conspiracies, according to the definition. To believe otherwise is foolish. But I doubt very much that there is one global conspiracy.

Conspiracies are small and relatively immediate, I think.

i have yet to see a ghost pic that seems perfect proof. but i may be disinclined to believe, so???

the larger a conspiracy, the less likely it will work. Watergate didn't even work and that was a simple break-in.
