Ok...am I the only one disfunctional enough to *love* House MD. I think it's probably one of the funniest shows I've seen in a long time. And I am the only one who absolutely *adores* Hugh Lawrie. Every time I see that man I want to melt!
:swoon:

I would like this show if it didn't have SO many innaccuracies......it's just ridiculous. Whoever is the medical advisor for this show is an absolute idiot.

I'm so medically ignorant I wouldn't know...so I haven't noticed the innaccuracies.

The show is entertaining, and Hugh Laurie simply just carries the show. He's the only reason to bother watching this thing.

But...the more episodes I see, the more things that bother me.

1) Do they HAVE to break into someone's house in EVERY friggen episode? I mean, come on, how often do doctors do this in REAL life???

2) I simply HATE it when shows get too "soap opera-y" AKA the stupid "do they love each other/don't they love each other" thing they have going on with House and his ex-wife. JUST DIE ALREADY. Sheesh. The show really tanked when they brought the ex-wife in as a regular.

3) The female doctor is an idiot and simply annoying.

This show had potential, but it's been losing some of it's spark.

Give me Monk over House anyday.-jay

Hey, you can't call a doctor show "House" if he doesn't make a few housecalls, Jay! While I've never seen an episode, due to Scrubs being on at the same time, I do feel I've kept up with House quite well from watching all the commercials. I really can't wait for the commercial where he really kills his (ex) lover's husband and those two crazy kids get married!

Like dAN I've only watched the previews but I feel similarly well informed as to the content of the show. One thing that puzzles me is that I have to wonder just how plausible it is for a show to have the same circumstances pop up week after week after week and not implode. "Watch this week as Dr. House nearly kills his patient trying to save him." yadda yadda yadda...

Don't forget "This week Dr. House is rude to a child".

I love House.

But lately they've ben leaving out the Clinic scenes...they are the best part of the show.

"Dr my back is sore, and I'm turning Orange."
"You're wife is cheating on you."

Funny, there are still plenty of clinic scenes in the commercials.....

And the answer is ...
A Boston physician leaves town to be a 'House' script doctor in Hollywood
A year ago, Dr. David Foster was working in two very different worlds: treating patients at an inner-city clinic in Boston, then periodically flying across the country to help plot the medical mysteries that arise each week on Fox's ''House." ...
... apparently, a real physician!

Well, somebody has to be the worst doctor, ever.

That would be Dr. Nick Riviera but there might be a close second.

I agree with you Drew. I miss the clinic scenes. They were absolutely hilarious. But I still find the series quite funny and I find House's "story" quite compelling. House MD is my "laugh therapy" for the week. I always feel a whole lot more relaxed after I've watched it.

As for comments like (paraphrasing) "I've watched the previews and have been keeping up with it, and it sucks": Well, I guess this is a case of "each to their own" (ie: you're entitled to your opinion)....

....as for Scrubs, I haven't actually watched an episode (although I've seen plenty of previews for it) so I can't really tell you what I think of it. Nothing I've seen in the previews has ever made me want to watch it, but just having seen those I don't feel that I'm informed enough to have an educated opinion. But, hey, that's just me.

I love the show because it's doing something very important to tv. We have a 40+ character, bitter, has an addiction, and has an abnormality. How unique! How unlike anything else on tv. Regardless of the medical abnormalities (ironic of some here considering that some of the anti-house kw members are Star Trek fans) it's good entertainment. More of a character driven show.

Yes, let's hope that if the rating s start slipping, they don't add bunch of sufing teenagers and their their relationship problems to the show.

Dr. Evil didn't seem to have any real talent as a surgeon, either. Neither did Dr. Doom, or Dr. No, or Dr. Hook, or Dr. J.

Dr. Jake Ramore, however, was quite the surgeon.

I vote for Doctor Detroit as the worst doctor ever.
