I ran into this last night and thought it was interesting. I know that at least Fist and Faith and Lord Danlo also enjoy mythology, so thought I'd post the link.
selectsmart.com/FREE/select.php?client=german_god

It turns out the I am most like the gods/goddeses Frey, Frigg, and Heimdall.
That same website also has quizzes to find out which Greek and ancient Egyptian gods and goddesses you are the most like. In my case I am most like Bast, the cat goddess of the Egyptians and the Greek god of the forge, whose name I will not even attempt to spell, but whose Roman counterpart is Vulcan.

I had to google for you and here is what came up:
Attributes: Nut was originally a mother-goddess who had many children. The hieroglyph for her name, which she is often seen wearing on her head is a water pot, but it is also thought to represent a womb. During the day, Nut and Geb are separated, but each evening Nut comes down to meet Geb and this causes darkness. If storms came during the day, it was believed that Nut had some how slipped closer to the earth. She also plays an important role in creation mythology.

Representation: As the sky goddess, she is shown stretching from horizon to horizon, touching only her fingertips and toes to the ground. Her husband, Geb is often shown reclining beneath her. She is also pictured as a giant sow, suckling many piglets. These piglets represented the stars, which she swallowed each morning before dawn. Nut was considered to be the mother of the sun and the moon. In some cases she took the form of a great cow who's eyes represented the sun and the moon.

Relations: Daughter of Shu and Tefnut, twin sister of Geb, wife of Geb, mother of Osiris and Isis, Seth, Nephthys.

Don't worry,Lord Foul -- I almost always come up as a boy in most of these things -- I was a Norse boy, a Greek boy, for ASOIAF I'm Ned Stark, and for the Amber one I was a boy, too. In fact, the Egyptian one is the ONLY one where I came up as a girl -- and believe me, I am most definately a girl -- and one who likes boys!

Norse: Frigg

Egyptian: Bast

Roman: Minerva

Greek: Apollo/Athena

VERY cool site, Duchess! They have ones for ASOIAF too? I'll have to check that out!

It seems I come up as Heimdall, Njord and Freyr which makes me believe that the selector is probably skewed in favor of one or more of these gods.

Couldn't find the test (not unusual for me), but my favorite has always been Heimdall: god of light and dawn, according to my dictionary, but didn't he guard Rainbow Bridge? :?:

I think your right, Bannor, in that guarding the bridge was Heimdall's job.

Just exactly what Heimdall was god of is not really well known or defined. But he is the watchman of the gods, keeping the evil forces out of Aasgard.

He is also the forefather of the three classes of men: jarl, karl and traell. (Noble, freeman and slaves, basically.)

I think F&F also told me that he is the guardian of the gods never sleeps -- an excellent choice for a Bloodguard! ;)
