I love Merle, just not his politics. One of the best concerts that I ever saw was Merle down in Tunica, MS, spring 2000.

I saw Merle open for Willie NElson. when Merle came back to do "Poncho & LEfty" he was too drunk to remember the lyrics. ruined what should have been a lasting memory.

What are you talking about? You still remember it, don't you? Seems lasting to me.....
Anyway, about where this should be: I see this as something that belongs in the Tank, because even though it's a musician speaking, the subject is politics. So far, we're talking about Merle, and that's cool. But really, if we start to go off on Merles' political views, then that opens the door for discussion on other musician's political Haggard tribute thing, fine; but if we want a political debate, take it to the Tank.
