dAN the man. yes...my esteemed cohort has beaten the combined formitable wills of Esmer, Sorus Chantelaine, and Cail to the proverbial punch!
he got me to listen to Alex Lifeson this evening...which is as close to listening to Rush as i've been in years unnumbered.
all i can say is whoa.
(and can i have that guitar)
i was knocked out. i've made this formal announcement as a hats off to my man the dAN.

Sorry, but I'm a Canadian who doesn't listen to Rush. But I don't listen to much Canadian rock music in general.

The cd that Luci's raving about is called Victor, and it was done by Alex in 1996. The song I got her to listen to is 'Shut up shuttin' up', which is hilarious, but the cd as a whole is a bit dark, and very good. Much better, IMO, than 2001's 'My Favorite Headache' by Geddy.

MMMMMMMMM, haven't listened to that (or ANY Rush), for a looooooong time. Might just dig out the album (then hook up my turntable -after I've blown the dust off it) this week from the dark corner of my loft (attic)
