1. Display the image in a browser.
2. Right click on it, and select "Copy".
3. Open Paint or other graphic editor, and paste the image in.
4. I cannot emphasize this enough:
crop it or resize it to a decent size.
5. Save it to a file.
6. Go to image shack (
www.imageshack.us/).
7. Follow the easy upload instructions. You don't need an account.
8. Make a note of the URL of your uploaded image. You want the direct link. For example: img219.imageshack.us/img219/1737/srd1hg.gif
9. Go to your profile.
10. Put that link into "Upload Avatar from URL"
11. Submit
12. Enjoy.
13. Send me a check or money order.

still not have accomplished #4, the Clown was made for me. i did manage to make the worst avatar on the watch though. i shall keep it i think.

Use the tool in the top righthand corner of the drawing box.
Draw a rectanle round the image then click and hold one of the corners and drag to shrink it.
( btw img111.imageshack.us/my.php?image=untitled4es.jpg that should be it. I shrank and hosted it. )

You can also use the "stretch/skew" option: set the two to equal numbers below 100%, and it'll shrink it, keeping the proportions.
