So, was any of that any good? I see a lot of tributes there; I usually stay away from that, myself.

Shakespear's Sister i reall got for one song "Stay" which is amazing. I needed it to put on cd's for people. the rest of the album is middling.

Jeb Loy Nichols is great. i had one of his songs on a comp. very mellow stuff. somewhat bluesy stuff.

Stay Awake has its moments. Ken Nordine, Tom Waits. got it for my grandson, so he can start to appreciate various forms of music in a context he knows.

Dixie Chicks: the b-side is "Stand By Your Man" and it is a good version. will go on cds for folks.

Cracker: more of a completist thing. I have the songs on the original discs by them. but it was cheap.

Poi Dog: satisfies my hippie rock cravings. if i toasted it would be to this. hard to find around here as well.

the Led Zep is fun. different styles, i'm enjoring it.

Roky: great album. used to have it. some outstanding tracks by a Texas native. plan to bookend it with the Daniel Johnston tribute.

Rig Rock: I love this album! my father was a truck driver so i have heard the roiginals many times over. very well done, not a bad song on the cd.

Wendy& Lisa : i enjoy their work, they produce a lot of things nowadays. a cd i have to be in the mood for. but good stuff.

strange music: good fun. used to be a magazine about odd music that i enjoyed. gives me hope that i can do my own music someday.

Mary's Danish: strictly a completist thing. there stuff is very hard to find. great band, but it's a one song promo.

Lillith: well i already have I & II. some cuts are great and some i can't skip fast enough. but good for burning. and my DIL will want a copy.

Dalevis is pretty straight forward. enjoyable in a bar band kind of way. i may donate this one to the library. it is just ok. and i have Elvis cds already.

instrumentals is great! one in a series of 5 or 6 that i will be tracking down. so 9 definite keepers for the price of one cd, can't beat that.
