Christopher Lee ... hardly inspired. No, I always imagined Prothall to be more grandfatherly. He's a nice guy not cut out for hard times. I'm thinking of someone more close ... but the name escapes me ... I'll get back.

Osondrea ... Dench is too old. Osondrea is a middle-aged woman.

Mhoram is too sympathetic for a Rickman. He's more of a Neeson.

And... seriously ... I think Kevin Costner would be an interesting Lord Kevin.

<smack>....Wayfriend, that's brilliant! I second Costner for Kevin.

I think Rickman would make a good Quaan.

Definately see Neeson as a good Mhoram.

here are my picks:

Covenant - Lance Henrickson (from Millinium), or Anthony hopkins (about 10 years ago)
Mhoram - Liam Neeson
Hyrim - ???
Shetra - Maggie Smith
Kevin - I think Kevin Costner is perfect, absolutely!

Finally ! Someone agrees with me. I can't see anyone else playing Mhoram except Neeson. It's the nose LOL :) well, that and other things, but I think Neeson is a hands down choice.

Well, I said "more of a neeson". Personally, neeson would not be my first choice. But he's closer than Rickman.

I can buy Liam Neeson as Lord Mhoram any day.

Alan Rickman would be a good Lord Verement.

Sean Connery as Lord Variol.

Jack Black as Lord Hyrim.

Christopher Lee is more of a Verement than Prothall.
I see Prothall being more of a taller Hume Crone... no idea who yet
Neeson for Mhoram.
Variol - Hopkins would be good, but uber expensive.
Tamarantha - Is Jessica Tandy still alive?
Osondrea...hmmm... wait for it... Linda Hunt
Cloris Leachman for Shetra.
Hyrim... I know this seems unlikely but.... Nathan Lane?
Callindril - Michael Caine
Amatin... how about J. Garafalo?
Trevor - Kenneth Branaugh
Loerya - Emma Thompson (if those two still talk to each other)

Neeson would be a good Mhoram. What about Jude Law?

I don't see Jude Law as Mhoram. Maybe more as Triock! (Yeah, Jude Law is thin and wiry, and Stonedownors are stocky...but that's a minor technicality, heh.)

Nope. Good choice, though.
Cloris Leachman for Shetra.
That could be interesting!
Hyrim... I know this seems unlikely but.... Nathan Lane?
That could work.
Amatin... how about J. Garafalo?
 As long as Ben Stiller doesn't end up making a cameo
Trevor - Kenneth Branaugh
My only real disagreement. I think Branaugh would make an excellent Kevin instead.

Costner as Kevin? Hard for me to picture Costner doing a devastated, despairing Kevin. But as the laid-back Kevin of the glory years, sure. Branaugh, on the other hand, is well-equipped to do despair and tragedy. And here's another thing: Branaugh can do an American accent, too, if needed for Kevin. Meanwhile, we know Costner would have difficulty with an English accent.
