Hi all, I've been AFK due to a wedding we went to in South Florida.

Saturday night was the meet and greet at Buca di Beppo's. They gave us some type of rustic bread with Italian butter (olive oil and balsamic vinegar) to dip in (one of my faves), but also had dairy butter on the table, which pleased Beorn. Then we also had garlic cheese bread and bruschetta with the salad. I love blue cheese crumbles in salad, and this one was full of them. I could have left the table at the end of all that!

Then we were served spaghetti with meatballs (Beorn claimed one whole 1/2 pound meatball for himself), a chicken limone type of dish (it was in a lemon sauce with capers), and chicken parmegiana. No worries with Beorn, he loved both the chicken parmigiana and the spaghetti. I had the chicken limone mostly, as I liked it the best.

Then we got this huge bowl of tiramisu for the table as dessert. We were at a booth with my sister and brother-in-law, so it was a ton of food for the five of us.

The wedding started at 5:30 PM on Sunday. The reception dinner was nice, if nothing out of the ordinary. We started with rolls and sald, had a sherbet intermezzo, and then had chicken kiev with sauteed zucchini and yellow squash. Dessert was key lime pie (not as good as mine, if I do say so myself) and wedding cake (I am sure not as good as any of Amy's), of course.

I bought Beorn a new book to give to him during the reception, but he was ready an hour before we left for the wedding. By the time the wedding started, he was already up to page 309! He did stop reading during the ceremony, but the rest of the book only made it about halfway through the reception. You will probably never hear these words pass my keyboard again, but thank goodness for my sister! We only got to visit during the wedding events, so she was enjoying spending time with Beorn, and kept him occupied the rest of the night.

Yesterday morning was a 'farewell brunch' for the out of town guests. Bagels, cream cheese, muffins, melons, grapes, pineapples, and oatmeal with juice and coffee. All in all, a nice time.

Paul and Beorn both cut dashing figures in their tuxedos (Paul's rented, Beorn wore one of my FIL's that he wears for orchestra gigs). I wore a gown I attained from my local freecycle group.

To access the pictures, first go to Family and Friends Photography. Scroll down to the bottom, and click on Danielle and Grady, 05-28-06, Yankee Trader. It should bring you to dotPhoto - View Album - Danielle and Grady 05-28-06. When I try to access the album without going to the main page first, it asks for a password.

Once you're in the album, the links to the photos of us should work for you. If not, the links say which photo number in the album each picture is.

Other than the table shot, Beorn pretty much avioded the camera. There are other photos of us on the periphery, but nothing where you can really see us.
