Hope I'm not starting an unneeded thread.

I'll be at San Diego Comic Con from July 17 to July 23. I'll be in the show room at the Capstone booth on the 20th and the 21st. Flying out early-ish on the 23rd.

I'd love to meet some KWers at Comics Con! We could even blow off the con stuff and have dinner/beach like normal people! While talking about Hile Troy!

*koff* I work in comics* *plenty of free passes koff*

Dates edited because I can't read my own calendar

jwaneeta,
Just going would be a thrill for me. (Since I've never been west of Alabama). I've seen some of your Forestal art. Very good stuff. :-)
I always mean to but never seem to make it to comic shows/conventions. My comic collection numbers in the thousands and I've been an avid collector/reader since I was about 11 or 12. I've had a few pages of comic art published locally here in Tampa years ago but I seem to struggle to produce artwork beyond a certain quality so I pretty much gave it up.
I guess thats a long way of saying as much as I would like to I probably would have a tough time attending an event across town let alone across the country.
Maybe next year.
:-)

I'm here, Luci. Heh, the San Diego con is a pretty big one; I think there are some Marvel comics from the 70's where the heros went to that con, and, of course, so did the villains!

it's a trick...you're doing it with mirrors and pieces of white bread.

(pay no attention jwaneeta)

Ahh, yes; the white bread. The power lies in the paradox of the freaking White Bread.

Awesome! I hope you can squeeze it in -- SD Con is sort of a madhouse, but in a fun way. And the fish tacos on the quay are second to none!

Well, if you're going to attend a con, SD packs the most bang for the buck. It's like the Superbowl of comics. I haven't had a vacation for a year so I'm going a few days early to do touristy stuff before the craziness starts. (And then I'm going to duck as much of the craziness as I can. Lazy that way. )

Okay: I wish I had seen this back before I took my vacation time to go to E3. (Damn. It didn't work.)

What books are you working on, jwaneeta?

Hi ooh a response yay. Uh, sorry. :)

I'm currently working on a slamload of kid's graphic novels, and recently did Blue Beetle #3 for DC. And even more recently I did eleven pages of Blue Beetle #6,which was so hideously terminal it had to be chopped up like a dog's breakfast. Ow. I turned my bit in nine days early, though.

So! I'd be happy to meet any KWatcher at SDCon. I'll pull some duty at the Capstone table, but I can probably meet anyone at whim.

Oh, come on. Help me pitch the Donaldson Bestiary (working title) and have some free drinks. Meet Chewbacca. San Diego Con is LOVE.
