What food smells disgust you and what food smells make you drool?

Vanilla makes me drool and frying meat makes me want to gag. Is odd, what smells can do to one's appetite.

Quite the opposite,the smell of ham or bacon frying in the morning mixed with the smell of coffee is one of the most wonderful smells I can think of.As far as 'gag' smells,the way my grandmothers house smelled when she was making pickles,relish or this aweful stuff called 'chow chow'.

I hate the smell of honey, Hunny.

A couple of times co-workers have brought in fish and microwaved it, and the resulting smell was truly gag worthy.

I am not sure how the fish was originally prepared (I know some fishy things such as fish sticks are not bad smelling when microwaved).

Can't stand the smell of a lot of things...have a very sensitive nose, and it affects me badly. Cooking fish is definitely one of the things I can't bear the smell of.

Nearly ALL food smells will get me salivating. Can't think of one that I dislike. Even food that I don't particularly like the taste of, I like the cooking smell.

But then again I'm a smoker, so my olfactory senses are probably not as refined as most people's!

I smoke too, but it hasn't noticeably affected my sense of smell. Partly because I'm incapable of exhaling smoke through my nose because...you guessed it...I can't bear the smell.

I hadn't noticed my sense of smell had gone until I gave up smoking for 20 days. It came back then, but most of the world smelled foul, so there was an unexpected bonus there when my willpower gave out!

People have often remarked on the acuity of my own sense of smell in light of the fact that I smoke. If it's going to get better (worse) when I stop, maybe I shouldn't...

Gag - sour milk not purposely made into yoghurt or kefir

Drool - many, many things...

Fresh sliced garlic first hitting the olive oil
melted chocolate
mint
Thanksgiving Day roast turkey, or Chr-stmas Day standing rib roast
Emmenthaler and Greyeur cheese fondue
My FIL's grilled bratwurst

Gag - sour kraut, liver and onions.

Drool: smelling fish and chips cooking

Gag---nothing I can think of, that's not gone bad.

Drool-Any pork product on the griddle. Coffee. Steak on the grille. Garlic. Onions. Vegetable stir-fry.

Gag-Liver. "Fishy" smelling fish.

i have a strong sense of smell, can usually tell which inmates have been smoking.

hate: mayo (i hate everything about it)

love: garlic cooking (i put it in everything)

love - smell of fresh fruit

hate - smell of brie and some of the other "ripe" cheeses (even if they end up tasting good); also, the smell of fast food - *ick!*

I love me some pumkin pie smell.I hate me some collard green smell.
