I bought the US edition from Amazon because the pictures of the UK edition look very dull, all black with pictures of sticks on it. Now "Runes" is in the bookshops over here in the UK and the UK edition is gorgeous. The paper of the dustcovers is textured and the whole book is much better ...

I have been looking into this in the UK. There isn't a bookshop in my local area and even further afield which stocks the second book! I am told it is being re-printed. But the others in the series are all still on the shelves. The firstthing I will do when I getto Deansgate tomorrow is check out th...

I've only read the first Gap book so far. I have to confess that I actually enjoyed it. I've been frantically looking for a copy of the second one but it's currently out of print. Thank god for e-bay. I fond it a lot better than the Mordant's need series which I hate! "TRS" seems much more...

I haven't read MN or MRT since they were first published in the UK in paperback way back in the 80's. Re-reading the Chrons recently because I knew the Runes were coming I was suprised how much I had missed when I first read them. Now I've read Runes there's nothing else for me to do bu re-read MN. ...

Much as I like Linden she and the Land are nothing without Thomas Covenant. Much as I enjoyed the "Runes" it is the fact that Covenant may be still alive somewhere that has got me hooked to every word.

Manchester

I rang up for my ticket yesterday and they are posting it to me. Perhaps you could ring them back and ask them to do the same. I explained that I didn't live anywhere near Manchester and would prefer to have the ticket before I set off to go there.

Manchester signing

Hi, I am new to this website but NOT to The Chronicles which I first read in the late 70's. I have got my ticket for the Manchester signing today and see in this discussion that you are planning a tentative get together. Can anyone come along? It would be good to be able to talk Donaldson with peop...

New here.

Hi, my name is ally and I first read the Chronicles in the late 70's when I was a slip of a lass! I've been re-reading them ever since and am stunned to hear about the new books! Trying hard to keep away from the spoiler pages so I don't spoil my enjoyment of the Runes when I get it. Just glad to h...
