I've worked in fast food, too, and it's worse, although you don't encounter as much stupidity. It's part of the cycle of human hatred. High School is what plants the seed of hate Employment in fast food is the soil in which that seed germinates and moving on to tech support is what causes the hatred...

That's one that bugs me...I mean, I like to think of the Land as a reflection of the real world, just as Foul is in some way a reflection of Covenant's inner Despiser...but if that's the case, how does Troy fit into things. The coma theory seems very unlikely to me; the situation he was in during su...

Providing details is illegal, confirming employment is not. Otherwise it would be impossible for potential employers to check references. In which case, there's no sense in bothering to try to do a good job at work, since you can always quit your job, and when the next potential employer calls the p...

Not really...In both cases, I think it's a simple moment in which reason is lost to passion. It happens to all kinds of people. I know such things have happened to me (No details, because it's stuff I'm quite ashamed of and don't want to discuss in a crowd of strangers). One moment, I'm doing someth...

He had no existence in Covenant's world. That doesn't mean he wasn't real. In effect, the use of Mhoram's POV in TPTP demonstrates that Covenant's Unbelief was factually false. It's not that clear to me. Even within the framework of the book, the Land itself isn't totally real. Not totally false, e...

I got mine no problem. As others have noted, the chapters website lies about stock...Chapters in Moncton had never even heard of it--but I just went across the parking lot to Champlain Place and the Coles there had a whole whack of copies. Kind of strange, since Coles is owned by Chapters, but c'est...

Actually, I'm pretty sure that Troy never existed in the real world. Remember at the end of the Illearth War, Covenant tried to call up the DND to find out what happened to Troy and they said he never existed. Troy, belike, is an externalization of the part of Covenant that wants to help the Land, a...
