BTW, I've been reading Trinity by Leon Uris for 7 years now. I'm on page 42.[/quote]
Have you read 'The Haj'? It's a real eye opener. I've heard it called a one sided picture of the middle east...but it helps me understand a little better. It seems like a 'must read' these days.

Speaking of TCTC. Have you noticed there really is no music in the Land. Sure...Atiaran 'sings' the ballad of Berek Halfhand to the gathering at Mithil Stonedown...and others 'sing' power-songs and such...but... Sounds more like Bards and Ballads than top 40 or something. What sort of song would Len...

When first joining this board all the good names were pretty much taken. I love the giants and wanted a giant name. But wanted a giant name that would fit the giants and my own personal passion. Thus Seafoam a good giantish name and Understone my passion: caving. Still trying to figure out a good t...

Also all the other beverages spoken of. Springwine, Diamondrought, ...tastey cockie-taillllz, warm fuzzies...no ha...

I think SRD is treated unfairly by the above mentioned reviewer. I see it like this: Anyone can 'string beads on a thread'. Monkeys...Toddlers...Jewelers...Novelists' Someone could put all the 'blue-ones' on a string and might be able to make a person think of 'water' Yes? So perhaps SRD carefully s...

Sounds like you all feel pretty strongly about this... I haven't gotten my own copy of the book yet and I only found this website yesterday(newbie alert). When I learned of the new book (in early October) I went straight out and bought all six earlier books. (over the years I've loaned them out so m...

Just found this web-site. Ever since I heard about the new book...the internet has been like 'electronic-crack'! can't get enough. i'm enjoying reading everyone's ideas about casting the movie. So here are my thoughts. I have always pictured the Haruchai as Native American actors. Brilliant on horse...
