Iryssa, if Canada is anything like the USA, freedom and tolerance only applies to those on the liberal left. If you disagree w/them, you're intolerant and can't speak your mind. The truth is, if we could somehow get the left to be more tolerant, this country wouldn't be so divided.

JemCheeta, if you believe that Jesus died for your sins, it follows that you WOULD show love to all the creations of God (or try anyway). To understand what His sacrifice means and believe in it, you will desire to love others. If that desire isn't there, that understanding of His sacrifice isn't ei...

But in the country where I live, there is an ideal that all persons should be treated equally under the laws. Right now, all people are not. And yes, I, both as a human being and an American citizen, have a problem with that. But people aren't treated equally, that's what laws are for. If I have th...

I hate smoking. I find it disgusting, and the stink is horrible. I'm glad its banned in most public areas, so I don't have to put up with the stench. The degree w/which I'm am against smoking is very high. And yet, no smoker I know thinks I hate them, especially family members or good friends.

Let's look at Gal 3:19-24, since you cited it 4 times in your post :-). Paul says that the law was given b/c of man's trangression, in order to restrain that transgression by revealing God's standard. A standard we can never reach. Paul is teaching that through Jesus, believers are freed from the la...

I consider myself a Bible believing Christian. No denomination. I'm b/w liberal and conservative, I don't like extreme, the answer is rarely at either end, but in the middle.

Iryssa, you make a good point. Basically, there are some doctrines that are black and white in the Bible, such as Christ's death and resurrection, that if you don't believe in, you really can't call yourself a Christian. Unfortunately, what constitutes a black and white issue, or a grey issue is dif...

I know I was so excited when I heard a movie is in the works. To have LOTR, followed by Chronicles of Narnia, and then Covenant, should all the movies be done well, would be amazing. LOTR has set the bar high though, it will be hard not to compare either of the other series w/it. But I do think whoe...
