“It was so kind of you to come!
And you are very nice!”
Fist and Faith said nothing but
“Cut us another slice:
I wish you were not quite so deaf—
I’ve had to ask you twice!”

Re: How many readers

Curious, were there ever any stats that indicated how many readers there are of The Chronicles of Covenant? and on a personal note, how many females? I swore to myself that if I ever saw a woman reading any of these books (on the bus, subway, etc) I would just have to walk up to her and ask h...

In the Power that Preserves, Bannor tells Covenant in the Plains of Ra that without his Vow his mortality is accelerating and he requires "sleep and hot food." I would assume that held true for Haruchai since the end of the Vow. No Vow (using Earthpower) was sworn to Covenant - Brinn remar...

Wayfriend, bear in mind that this is MrKABC's opinion....:) So please finish it, if you've read the first six? You've come so far, you should certainly read it, and decide for yourself. :D "Bird and Bear and Hare and Fish, give a fan his fondest wish..." Yes, I agree with birdandbear comp...

This belongs in Runes forum, doesn't it? It seems that any discussion that might ensue could potentially contain spoilers. I thought about where the correct place for posting would be and decided here, because we haven't seen the krill of Loric yet, if we will at all, in Runes so I was basing it up...

It was good yes, maybe even very good. It was certainly annoying in spots but I'll reserve judgement until we get all 4. I wonder how it will fare in a re-read ? (anyone done it yet?).(I was late getting in my first read as I was immersed in a Stephen King Dark Tower re-read of all 7 - so I've just...

The Krill of Loric

What does it REALLY do? In the first Chronicles, it did nothing other than destroy Samadhi Satansfist - referred to as a "power strong enough to bear any might." In the second Chronicles, SRD appears to have used it more, but still didn't really define where its power came from, or its use...

Whoops, sorry about that... My bad... Let's just say that the ending is open to a LOT of interpretation, and I interpreted it to mean: The ending of the book sucked a giant goat dick, and I felt completely cheated and ripped off!!! I remember watching Stephen King's Tommyknockers on TV a few years ago - the movie was quite faithful to the book and exactly how I imagined it. THAT IS, until the last 20 minutes or so, at the climax of the story. All of a sudden, it was like the movie producers had run out of money or patience, a...

Do any of ya'll think that it is possible that the Sandgorgons have some of the same capabilities to 'ride' time as the Ranhyn? When TC summoned Nom, he had a hell of a far way to go to get to him at Revelstone, yet he made all the way from Brathairealm (spelling?) to Revelstone rather quickly, don...
