Well i read the whole of the second chrons first, then the first chrons. 456123 :D I was blown away by the Sunbane when i read the back of the book in the bookshop so bought it without realizing (or bothering) that there was a whole first series. Yeah i wish i had read them in order but i don't thin...

Difficult one this...mainly cos Thomas is my favourite character bar none. But having said that i do like Linden in the second chrons..(i read it first so i have an affintity for it)

The first time i came across the Chrons was when i saw my best friend had them in his collection...he was about 13 i think. He'd read them already. That sounds like a reasonable age but he was mature young

I was 18 when i first read Thomas Covenant. I'd already read LOTR many times and The Hobbit etc. Also i'd read alot of Eddings, Terry Brooks and assorted other authors but when i read Donaldson i was blown away. Some don't like the way he describes in the finest detail but for me that makes it

Well i'm back now and i ended up gettin to Andelain in the first book....a very long way behind where i thought i would get but it was fun all the same

I'm flying over to Mississippi next week(i live in England) and am taking the 1st Chrons with me to read from the beginning. It will be interesting to see how far through i get by the time i return. So i wondered how fast people have read it...and how far they think i will get with a reasonable rate...

SRD has already said he wont write a prequel. My other wish...now i come to think of it...is that the link with the real world is maintained throughout. Like quite a few of you my only wish for the 3rd Chrons is that Thomas is involved...after all it is called 'The Third Chronicles of Thomas Covenant'. He has to be there. Other than that i'll enjoy whatever SRD comes up with i'm sure...the beauty of his 6 books so far is u never knew what was round ...
