Wow. That makes me feel a little better. Kinda let out some steam there, huh? Maybe I should actually take the time to look into these things a bit more. I've read some of the GI, but it's difficult to absorb it all. Anyway, thanks for the update.

Saturn and his representatives

If/When TCoTC is made into a movie the rape aspect will be totally cut out. The powers that be, needed to give the green light for this project, will require it. Fantasy movies are doing so well because they promote corny heroism and paladin-type morales to drive the "good" guys. For examp...

Anele

Anele was a pain in the you-know-what during my first read, but he grew on me in my second reading of Runes. I think I tried to read into him too much and forgot that there are three books to go. I made myself accept the fact that Runes was a total setup book (I mean the last paragraph says it all)....

Ah, the Old Lords...

Tell me about it. Each Old Lord had a cool edge to him. Berek was the Queen's hero (a powerful warrior?) and the first of the bunch. Damelon was the Giantfriend (Giants rock). Loric was the most mysterious: father of Kevin, messed with the Viles, had a krill, all that good stuff. And Kevin was the p...

Hawksbill

Hawksbill Mountain in Virginia (Skyline Drive) is 4000 feet elevation. Not only that but it has a low stone wall (circular in shape) that rests at the end of the path leading from the main tourist area. There is no massive mountain directly behind it, but it is a strange coincidence if SRD didn't us...

least favorite character

I didn't like the whole Guardian of the One Tree history. It didn't help that Brinn was the only Haruchai, in all 7 books, that I didn't care for. Even The Voice was kind of cool. But there isn't one character that I hated. Wow. That's saying something... But on the side... wouldn't it be cool to se...

The Madwoman

Remember the mortal woman that Kastenessen fell in love with way back in the day when Findail was sent to force him to his Appointed duty? What if that mortal woman was Linden or Joan? More likely Linden since Esmer mentions that he serves her as he serves other powers. Since SRD is messing with tim...

possible spoiler!

I always try to look at the names that SRD uses. I think he likes to includes these little riddles in all of his Covenant books. Like for example in LFB Thomas is in the tower of Revelstone and reflects upon the red moon. He asks Foul (to himself) if he will encore the red moon by raping children. T...

Name game

I noticed two simple name games that SRD includes in Runes.

Anele is Elena backwards.

Liand (son of ) Fostil is Findail lost rearranged.

Does this mean anything?
