Fertility could be a hell, think for a moment as a Land-person. Lack of fertile suns would result in starvation. Sure the shedding of several of your town mates may provide temporary relief but there is no way that several acres of crops/fodder would keep a village going without fertility to bolster...

Sorry Wayfriend - can't agree that the Haruchai are beings that 'partake of earthpower'. No. The Haruchi still live within their mountain fastness. In their way, they know the name of Earthpower more surely than any Lord. However I still hold to my 'unprepared for coercion' theory. I hear that Kyst...

To the best of my knlowledge, at least in the second chronicles, it remaind a creation myth, most proberbly influenced by the elohim who fear the waking of the worm as their personal world's end.

Personally I beleve that at the end of the FC it will be decided one way or the other.

Fair point.

My instance was just to point out the difference in the conditions leading to the vaunrability of the bloodgaurd.

Yes Kyrsten could not change the minds of the Haruchi that attached them selves to the quest, but they were forwarned of his power by the unnatural hustin. They had no warning and thus no defence against the clave attacking as they did when the Na-Morhram faked his attack on the krill in Sunders hand.

Yet in LFB lord Mhoram says, ' The Bloodgaurd are only five hundred-a pittance for any task other than the defense of Revelstone' Yes, they had lost some half dozen or so that could not be replaced (see Bannor's explanation to TC of the Bloodgaurd's service), but those did not compromise the Bloodga...

Spoiler
FR does not give a reply as to the heels of the staff but does state the Theomach lead Berek to the One Tree, for his own ends but guided him none the less. That gives you the wood and iron was plentiful after the war, all those swords spears and armor to be utilised some how.

I was thinking this morning about ways to shorten the movie without compromising the story. One of the ways that I see this is by making Lean a little older, just old enough that she can join the Loresraat. Her mum and her see TC's 'fight' on the watch, investigate and start to guide him on his way....

Now, it would be great fun to do the voice acting for Drool Rockworm. I'm with you, not much of an actor but can do a mean snarl-like Drool/Cavewight voice over. Must just state that i would rather do the later leader who tries to bleed TC to resurrect DRw

All true, but the colossus DID destroy the host body.

It seems that proximity was essential for the interdict in it's current state.
Spoiler
BTW, does anyone remember the 'gender' of the elohim that formed the colossus?

Myth all the way  :D  However that is out of the given. It seems though that SRD has based many of his wide world 'villan' creatures worm or worm like chaecteristics. Nicor and Skurj are work like and revenous for destruction. I know the giants believe that the world is formed on the skin ...

Any one got a vision for the first galnce of Revelstone?

I love the detail that SRD puts into making TC's first glance of Revelstone and striking the giants dumb at the wonder of thier first glance. but does anyone have any idea where i can find an actual picture or have one or more of thier own they wouldn't mind sharing.

HOB Add some form of blade to the hands of the edge ur-viles and that is how I always visulised it. What lead to the failure of the New Lords?

I am placing this topic in this section due to my reply coming from FR. I believe the greatest failure to be the oath of peace. The Theomach gives Berek and Linden the Seven Words, those are passed down verbatum to Kevin and, presumably, stored in one of the wards he left after ROD. However the New ...

Relayer, TWL no giant ravers. TIW the Bloodgaurd did nothing to stop the attack :?

But, back on to the topic, i agree that the Bloodgaurd would have been mainly symbolic in thier actions but would have been a hinderence to the lords in thier quest for power to unlock the krill.
