Wow, deja vu! I was just today wondering what ever happened to this. I remember reading it back when you worked on it. After seeing what HBO is doing with Game of Thrones, it got me thinking of your script again. And out of the blue, you bump it... are you peeking in on my thoughts? LOL! :) As woul...

Long years have passed and times have grown both light and dark for me. The script has sadly been shelved until such a time I can focus more time upon it. Life keeps kicking me in the ass and I struggle day to day in living just above surviving. Was working at a fine job for almost 2 years, until so...

Thank you, Zahir. I really haven't done much reading outside of canon, so these insights are helpful. One thing I was very impressed by with Rowling was how she realistically portrayed evil as it genuinely is--often cushioned, existing in different degrees, carried around by otherwise-okay people w...

Evidently, Harry is considered a half-blood because not all four of his grandparents were wizards or witches. If this sounds ever-so-familiar to some history types, it should. The identical calculation was used by the SS to determine how Ayran someone might be. Thus the Weaseleys, Dumbledore, Luna,...

We also learn something important about Ron. His reaction when Harry tells him to write home about the wand is pretty petulant. He says that his parents would respond with an admonition that it's his own fault and implies that his parents wouldn't replace the wand anyway. I personally think if he h...

Since the OP, I've been playing (damn addicting) Gem Craft TDG and now am at level 44. Once you get past that seemingly elusive level 40 things go rather easier. But it's still a lot of work to get to that level. Still frustrating and exasperating until you crest that level's hump. Maybe that's the ...

Tower Defense Games: A Review
Does anyone else play these type of strategy games? Where you have a line of monsters/creeps/whatever! marching down a crooked path towards a base and you build towers along the path that shoot/freeze/electrify/whatever! until the monster/creep/whatever is dead/destroyed and you earn points/coins/ma...

You know, this chapter is another example of how Rowling does a wonderful job of distracting us from the plot with the emotional life of the central character. We are so caught up in Harry's rescue, by his arrival in the Burrow, by the tumult of the Weasely boys trouble with their mother, etc. we f...

Chamber of Secrets: Chapter 3 "The Burrow"
The sight before Harry's eyes outside his bedroom window is as incredulous to us as it is to him. But it's also delightful to the reader. Here Harry gets an affirmation that he truly does have real friends for the first time in his life. Not only Ron but upper classmates Fred and George Weasley who ...

Well I think perhaps maybe having 10 days in between chapters should allow it to have time for more input. Hopefully there will be more input and more participation. Or do we want to stretch it out to two weeks. How would you prevent someone or TWO someones writing a dissection on the same chapter? ...

In a way I disagree with Menolly. While interesting plots were going on on old ST there weren't a whole lot of great acting jobs by guests. I know I'm missing some good ones but Frank Gorshin (the original Riddler), Montalban and Jim Hutton as Charlie X stand out, in my mind, as some of the best. S...

:-x Remaking Day Earth Stood Still -- Blasphemy!
This is horrible, and makes you want to blow up movie studios for lack of originality and daring, DARING to touch a Sci-Fi Masterpiece! I thought to myself now wait a minnit. On another thread we were talking about how Hollywood needs to revamp it's remaking policy and start coming up with some new ...
