Yeah, I agree Matrixman! I enjoyed em all, but it was a bit of a slog in the middle, the final book being a good payoff. Clarke's already tackled these issues in a way in 2001 etc, but I think it's almost like Rama finally explains a lot of issues raised in his other work, at it's conclusion. Gentry...

I've only ever seen the 'artwork in circles' art from the early 80's UK edition, but I really liked em! I used to look at those pictures on my dad's copies before I was old enough to read em, so they're really vivid for me! Who was that artist again?

Ahh, Fincher is a good director, and I enjoyed 'Rama' - the whole series is for books - anyone read it. Quite big in scope!!!
Still always looking forward to some good sci-fi cinema!

Obvious movie thread

I think TC would be an excellent twist on the fantasy genre, having such an anti-hero and all that!!! My dad got me onto the books when I was about 15! Any suggestions for actors etc?
I always saw Thomas as Jeremy Irons for some reason!?
